iPhone contacts sync to iCloud, not Google. That means you need a few extra steps to get them into Upfirst. You'll export your contacts from iCloud as a vCard file, convert it to a CSV, and then import the CSV into Upfirst.

How to export your contacts from iCloud
1. Open iCloud Contacts
Go to icloud.com in your browser and sign in with your Apple ID. Then open Contacts.
2. Select your contacts
Click on any contact, then press Ctrl + A (Windows) or Cmd + A (Mac) to select all of them. You can also hold Ctrl or Cmd and click to pick specific contacts.
3. Export as vCard
Click the Share icon and select Export vCard. A .vcf file will download to your computer.
How to convert the vCard to CSV
Upfirst needs a CSV file, not a vCard. The easiest way to convert it is through Google Contacts.
4. Import the vCard into Google Contacts
Go to contacts.google.com and sign in with any Google account. Click Import on the left-hand side and select the .vcf file you just downloaded.
5. Export as Google CSV
Once the import finishes, click the Share button in the top-right area. Then click Export. Select Google CSV and click Export. A .csv file will download to your computer.
How to import into Upfirst
6. Go to Contacts in Upfirst
Log in to your Upfirst account. Click Contacts on the left-hand side.
7. Import the CSV file
Click Import contacts. Select the .csv file you exported from Google Contacts. Upfirst will match the columns from your file to contact fields like name and phone number.
Review the preview, then click Import to finish.
8. Map the appropriate fields
Match each column in your spreadsheet to the corresponding Upfirst contact field (Full name, Phone number, Email, Address, Company name, Website, etc.). If you have custom fields, you can map those too.
FYI, in Google's CSV, there will be many extra fields like Middle Name, Phonetic Name, Address 1, etc.
Below are the correct fields to map to each:
Upfirst fields : Google CSV
Full name : First name
Phone number: Phone 1 - Value
Company: Organization Name
Email: E-mail 1 - Value
One caveat: Google sorts their addresses separately (City, State, ZIP) into different fields, while Upfirst's address field is sorted into one. You can either create custom fields in Upfirst for City, State, ZIP, or compile the addresses into one column in your Google CSV Sheet.
To create custom fields, just go into your Upfirst portal and go to Settings > Custom fields on the left hand side.

Things to know
Your contacts need to be synced to iCloud first. Most iPhones do this by default. If your contacts aren't showing up at icloud.com, go to your phone's Settings > [your name] > iCloud > Contacts and make sure the toggle is on.
You need a Google account for the conversion step. Any free Gmail account works. You're only using Google Contacts as a tool to convert the file format from vCard to CSV.
You only need the name and phone number. Both the vCard and CSV exports include extra fields like email and address. Upfirst will pull the name and phone number and ignore the rest.
Duplicates are handled automatically. If a contact already exists in Upfirst with the same phone number, it won't be added twice.
