There could be a few reasons why your receptionist isn't responding to you when you make a test call. We also always recommend to listen back to the call recording to diagnose what may be happening.
Some of those reasons might be the following:
The most common reason is typically due to background noise. Your receptionist is always listening for speech, so if there is a loud TV in the background of the call, it might be picking that up too. We recommend giving it some more test calls without the TV on to get a better sense of how it works.
Other background noises can be an issue too, like if you're on speaker phone while driving a car. It could be picking up any extra loud sounds that could be coming from the car or as you're driving down the freeway.
Other noisy areas where there is background noise, like in a crowded space. Your receptionist could be picking up other people talking.
If you've only given it one or two test calls, we always recommend making some more. If you still feel like something is off, please let us know and our team will be happy to help troubleshoot any issues.
